The Ryan-Dey Academy was established in 2003 by Tara Dey TCRG ADCRG.

Tara began dancing at the age of 10 and after a very successful competitive career with Sean Eireann McMahon became a qualified teacher with An Coimisiun le Rinci Gaelacha in Dublin in 2000. In 2003 Tara began teaching irish dancing and the Ryan-Dey Academy was born.

Since then the Academy has grown and is continuing to do so on a weekly basis.

In December 2005 Tara took her adjudicators exam and is now qualified to adjudicate as well as teach Irish dancing.

Amongst Tara's achivements were top ten placings in all major championships including 2nd in the North American Nationals, 2nd in the British Nationals, 8th in the Great Britain Championships, 7th in the All Irelands and 10th in the World Championships for solo dancing and numerous World medals for team dancing including Gold at the World Championships in 1998 for the Senior Mixed Ceili.
